After Rupani’s resignation, the BJP is going to hold a meeting of the legislature party today regarding who will sit on the chief minister’s chair in the state.

Among the names that are being discussed in the race for the new Chief Minister of Gujarat, the names of Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Purushottam Rupala are at the forefront of the race. All of them come from the Patel community. Gordhan Jhadafia’s name is also running for the chief minister’s post, but Mandaviya and Nitin Patel are being considered at the forefront of this race. With this another name in the race, he is Gujarat BJP President CR Patil.

Patil said I am not in the race:

Patil is a three-time MP from Navsari. He is also considered a trusted close friend of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Legislature party meeting today:

Gujarat BJP Legislature Party meeting may be held today. Bharatiya Janata Party’s state spokesperson Yamal Vyas said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah may attend the legislature party meeting with central observers.
