Lizzo‘s altering a controversial lyric in her new track after on-line backlash … acknowledging phrases have energy and saying she does not wish to promote derogatory language.
This is the deal — Lizzo dropped her new single, “Grrrls,” Friday and caught a ton of flak on social media for together with the time period “sp*z” within the lyrics.
Lizzo’s authentic opening verse went like this … “Maintain my bag, bitch/ Maintain my bag/ Do you see this s***?/ I am a sp*z/ I am about to knock any individual out/ Yo, the place my finest good friend?/ She the one one I do know to speak me off the deep finish.”

After getting tons of warmth over the weekend, Lizzo introduced Monday she’d heard the considerations, listened and made a change.
Lizzo says she’s had tons of hurtful phrases directed at her over time as a result of she’s a self-proclaimed “fats black lady in America” … and says she understands the ability phrases can carry.
She maintains there was no dangerous intention behind the unique lyrics and says she’s proud to make a change for a brand new model of her track, which samples “Ladies” from the Beastie Boys.
