GENERAL SANTOS CITY, South Cotabato, Philippines – Police seized greater than P1 million price of suspected crystal meth, or shabu, from an alleged big-time drug pusher from Davao Metropolis in a buy-bust operation right here on Saturday, June 18.
Col. Paul Bometivo, performing director of the Normal Santos Metropolis Police Workplace, stated in a report that the seized unlawful medication, the largest restoration up to now in a single operation right here, had been discovered within the possession of suspect Jason Tiu Lacsamana, 47, a resident of Toril, Davao Metropolis.
He stated Lacsamana was cornered by a group composed of members of town police Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Company (PDEA) in Soccsksargen (Area 12) in an entrapment at round 11:39 a.m. Saturday on Bula-Lagao Street in Barangay Bula right here.
Bometivo stated the suspect offered a sachet of suspected shabu price P1,000 to a police officer who posed as a purchaser. In a subsequent search, Lacsamana yielded a “jumbo” and 20 “massive” rectangular plastic sachets, containing a mixed quantity of 150.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1.02 million based mostly on the nationwide normal drug value.
The seized unlawful medication had been submitted to the Police Regional Workplace 12 crime laboratory for examination, he stated.
Lt. Col. Aldrin Gonzales, the spokesperson of town police workplace, instructed the Inquirer the suspect’s presence within the metropolis was monitored by intelligence operatives two weeks in the past.
